On Sunday, January 29th, the area's most popular bands will be performing a benefit concert at Custom Smokehouse (formerly Gunner Bucs) in Mattoon, IL to raise money for Multiple Sclerosis. Area musician Josh Jones, Lead vocalist and songwriter for the popular area... bands Eleven Days and Further From Caution, has been stricken with Multiple Sclerosis and has assembled an all-star lineup to raise money and awareness for the National MS Society. Bands will perform on 2 stages from 1 pm til 9 pm and the event is open to the public. All ages are welcome. The official title of this event is “Banded Together for Success Against MS.”
Bands scheduled to perform include X-Krush, Poprocks, Jason and the Haymakers, 90's Daughter, The Matt Poss Band, Resonation Station, Jackie Lawson and her Hillbilly Rockstars, and a special appearance by Josh Jones and Further from Caution. This will be the biggest concert benefit ever held in Central Illinois.
There will be a 50/50 drawing as well as silent auctions including items that have been donated by local businesses and celebrities near and dear to the cause of Multiple Sclerosis. Proceeds of the benefit are going to the National MS Society.
